Learn to Meditate: Free Virtual Class tomorrow!

DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau in partnership with Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center present a Free Six-Part Virtual Meditation Series

OAK BROOK, IL — The DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) and the Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center, Lisle are pleased to announce the recent launch of a free six-part virtual meditation series for the community to benefit from during this time of social distancing.

Developed and presented by the Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center, an international non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through mediation, the first one-hour class, Learn to Meditate I: Meditation for Healthy Living was held virtually on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 4:00 PM CST. An experienced meditation facilitator from Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center guided participants through techniques and strategies while learning the art and science of meditation. A total of 245 people registered for the class.

“This partnership is another example of how we can inspire, nourish the spirit, mind and body and provide a place of peace for each other during these challenging times. Our efforts are focused on supporting our partners and working for our communities and county. We are stronger together. Stronger DuPage,” said Beth Marchetti, Executive Director, DCVB. Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center’s Outreach Coordinator, Jonathan Kruger commented, “Meditation takes you to a place where you can retreat from the world. It helps one deal with stress and anxiety of life. Now more than ever, it is important to center ourselves, to relax and refresh and find that healthy life balance. I am grateful for the partnership with DCVB and hope you will join us to discover the transformative powers of meditation.”

The next class in the virtual series, Learn to Meditate II: Meditation for Healthy Living takes place this Friday, May 15, 2020 at 4:00 PM CST. Participants are invited to attend as many classes in the series as possible and each class stands on its own. Anyone can learn the art and science of meditation and it can be done anywhere.
