Boundless Adventures

Summer starts at the Ultimate Indoor LEGO® Playground with 2 rides, 10 LEGO build & play zones, a 4D Cinema and more! Village of Lemont…Enjoy Our Scene!
No matter the season, breathtaking hills, valleys, quarries and canals frame Lemont, a quaint village 27 miles southwest of Chicago. This unexpected sanctuary is an ideal place to live, visit and experience. As we approach summer there’s no shortage of things to do in Lemont. Starting in June, Lemont Farmers Market will run every Tuesday morning, Lemont Legends Cruise Nights every Wednesday evening, and there’s even a series of Thursday evening concerts to add to the mix. And you won’t want to miss Heritage Fest, the highlight of the summer, on Saturday, July 13. Lemont is an oasis of dining, shopping, events and activities, all year long. Mountain View Adventure Center, Des Plaines Park District
This challenging 18-hole mini golf course features a gold-rush mining town theme, with waterfalls, obstacles, and some rather interesting signposts. Vintage Rides, Downtown Wheaton
Ice cream, popcorn, 50’s music, shiny chrome and carburetors- a great combination that makes Vintage Rides in Downtown Wheaton a favorite family outing.  Starting May 24 through August 23rd, Friday nights in Downtown Wheaton feature classic and vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles along two blocks of Front Street.  Starting at 6pm and going into the evening till 9pm, the street is filled with car enthusiasts, serious collectors and people of all ages.  While DJ Cesar ‘Poppy’ Garcia spins tune spanning the decades, hot dogs and pizza are served up on the street by Nani’s Pizza and Pasta.  2019 marks the 22nd anniversary of this popular Wheaton summer tradition. Downtown St. Charles
Come spend your summer in Downtown St. Charles. Starting the summer off, thousands of creative and beautiful pieces of artwork will grace downtown when the St. Charles Fine Art Show and Paint the Pavement return Memorial Day Weekend. Mid-Continent Railway Museum
Mid-Continent Railway Museum – Take a step back in time! Climb aboard for a 55-minute round-trip train ride in historic railcars. Browse the museum filled with dozens of restored railcars and steam locomotives from the late 1800s and early 1900s and museum gift shop inside an 1894 depot. Reed’s Canoe Trips
Reed’s Canoe and Kayak Trips are an ideal recreational activity for groups of any size, from a family adventure to large church, school, or park district outing with an adventure close to home. The three trips we offer range in length from approximately 2 hours to a full 6 hours on the water, and are suitable for either new or experienced canoeists. Since the Kankakee River is located only an hour south of Chicagoland, even our longest trip will fit into a one-day outing! 907 N. Kane County Cougars
Kane County Cougars – Now in their 29th season in nearby Geneva, the Kane County Cougars have been at the forefront of affordable and family-friendly fun while providing Major League affiliated baseball. Now, a Class A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, over 160 former Cougars have worn a Major League jersey. Every Cougars game is packed with fun, delicious food, between inning on field events as well as great baseball. Select games feature post-game fireworks and live music. Midwest Pond & Koi Society
The Midwest Pond & Koi Society, MPKS, are families with a common hobby: koi ponds, garden ponds, koi keeping, and plants. MPKS members range from the novice to experienced water gardener. The club has monthly meetings with topics about plants, ponds, and fish. Other activities include; auctions, a trade show, and a pond tour. You do not have to be a member to attend a meeting. “Swing” into Holes & Knolls Mini Golf for a whole lot of fun this summer! The course includes 36 holes of beautifully landscaped grounds everyone from tots to grandparents will enjoy. Forest Preserve District of Kane County
Come camping in Kane County! You can get away from it all without spending it all. Paul Wolff Campground in Elgin and Big Rock Campground in Big Rock offer with electric and water hook-ups for RV camping, plus tent and equestrian camp sites. Summerfield Zoo
An up close and personal animal experience for kids of all ages!  Plenty of things to do and amazing animals!  See our animals from A (alligators) to Z (zebra).   Free animal shows daily with admission (check online schedule).  Kids can have fun feeding bottles to baby goats, take a pony, and visit the petting zoo. Illinois Railway Museum

Historic Wagner Farm, Glenview Park District
Step back in time this summer and experience the tranquil life of an early 20th Century farm. There’s something exciting every day. On Mondays, learn the history of the farm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, listen to Miss Nancy’s stories on the porch, Wednesdays meet a cow or pet a chicken, and on Fridays something’s cookin’ at the Wagner farmhouse. Music by the Lake
The Music by the Lake summer festival, located on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, features exciting family-friendly events from June 23 through August 10. Experience one of the crown jewels of feature animation on the big screen with live orchestra accompaniment in “Disney Fantasia Live in Concert with the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra” on Sunday, June 23. LE JARDIN ANIMé Classical Treasures presented by Salt Creek Ballet
McAninch Arts Center, College of DuPage

Salt Creek Ballet presents the celebrated masterpiece, Le Jardin Animé.  Featuring guest artist Yoshihisa Arai, courtesy of The Joffrey Ballet and beautiful solos and figurations from the corps de ballet.  Also presenting The Alarm, a contemporary piece choreographed by Eddy Ocampo and Flower Festival in Genzano.  Performances on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.
