National Skilled Nursing Care Week and National Hospital Week

Residents and caregivers will be the focus of many special activities planned at Villa St. Benedict in May, in recognition of National Nurses Week .

During National Nurses Week, May 6-12, our senior care community will be recognizing our  nurses with a special chef prepared lunch in our Great Room to honor physical distancing . All of our nurses and certified nurses assistants will receive a gift consisting of  personal aroma therapy mini diffuser and essential oils for their individual soothing and relaxation. They are consistently encouraged and thanked by our residents and families with donations, gift cards, goodie bags and many loving social media posts.

The community also salutes local schools and many families for their contributions of material masks, medical masks and other medical supplies in recognition of staff throughout the community.

“It is very fitting, especially at this time, to recognize the extraordinary efforts of nurses and caregivers everywhere for their service and sacrifice in keeping our communities healthy,” said Katherine DiCristina, Villa St. Benedict executive director.

“I would like to thank our nurses, nursing associates and all of our senior care employees for their commitment to protecting the safety, health and wellness of our residents.  The care, compassion and dedication shown daily is unprecedented, and we appreciate the tireless and selfless efforts of our entire staff,” added DiCristina.

“We also thank our hospitals and clinics for their leadership and partnership as we work together to provide the highest quality care for older adults in our community,” said DiCristina.

A trusted provider of senior living services for more than 15 years, Villa St. Benedict offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite care and At Your Service home care, with enhanced infection control protocols in place for residents and staff.
