The Art Center Highland Park: IN VIEW 2021, January 8-29, 2021
The Art Center Highland Park is proud to present IN VIEW 2021. This year is anything but normal but TAC is proud to focus on our annual member/faculty exhibition, allowing us to highlight the creative energy that is at the heart of our community. With 50 artists represented, the wide range of mediums, techniques, subject matter and styles reflect the professionalism, talent and skill so prevalent at TACHP.

From ceramics to mosaics, from painting to mixed media, In View 2021 is a celebration of our mission, showcasing the incredible work that drives TAC to make art available to all. The engagement and inspiration of this exhibit echoes the hope for a better tomorrow.

Gallery hours are 10-4, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays, 12-4, but visitors to www.theartcenterhp.org can also view the exhibit through a virtual program. Individuals who might need special accommodation can arrange exhibit visits by calling 847-432-1888. TAC is located at 1957 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL, 60035. The art is for sale and some of the proceeds go to support programming at TAC.

The Art Center, a non-profit organization, is the North Shore’s home for artistic discovery and creative exploration. Through innovative programs, exhibitions, and classes designed for all levels and ages, The Art Center provides a welcoming space for our diverse communities to experience and participate in the arts.

Meet the sea otters at Shedd Aquarium—virtually! Come face-to-face with the playful, adorable sea otters that call Shedd home. Join us behind the scenes (virtually) for a sea otter play session. Watch them dive, socialize, vocalize and groom and find out how their sustainable, restaurant-quality food prep happens. Dive in and explore the world of sea otters firsthand!

You may know California sea lions best for their loud vocalizations, and their ability to traverse both land and water. During this encounter you will meet one of the four rescued sea lions at Shedd—Biff, Cruz, Laguna, or Tanner—and learn how their rescue and rehabilitation gave them second chance at life.
