Vintage Illinois Wine Festival – On September 15 -16, 2018 in Matthiessen State Park in Oglesby, Illinois, Illinois Grape Growers & Vintner’s Alliance will host 25 Illinois wineries and food vendors to celebrate Vintage Illinois Wine Festival celebrating Illinois’ Bicentennial. Glow in the Park Lantern Walk – As night falls on September 16, the Glen Ellyn Park District will present an illuminated lantern parade to benefit Lurie Children’s. The parade will be preceded by free entertainment including live music from Tres Moustache, Ben’s Bubble Show, face painting, and an inflatable climbing wall from 5pm-7:15pm. 63rd Park Forest Art Fair – One of Chicagoland’s treasures, the Park Forest Art Fair, will be held September 15 and 16 from 10 until 5, on the Village Green. The fair features artists exhibiting in a variety of media from painting, printmaking and photography to sculpture, woodworking, glass and jewelry. The fair is family friendly with “kids art alley” offering crafts projects and an art contest. On Saturday, the village hosts a music fest. On Sunday, folk artists “Patchouli” will perform.
